A Poem

Yesterday I decided to write a poem.  But I didn't just want to write something that rhymed, I wanted to write something in an actual poetic format.  So I googled "types of poetry" and found a type called "minute poetry."  Minute poetry consists of three stanzas where the first line is 8 syllables and the second, third, and forth lines are 4 syllables each (8,4,4,4, 8,4,4,4 8,4,4,4).  Also lines 1and 2 rhyme, and lines 3 and 4 rhyme.  So the rhyme scheme is aabb, ccdd, eeff.  So here is my attempt at a minute poem:

Never forget the golden rule
When life is cruel
Things seem unfair
Going nowhere

Things happen that cause you to think
Missing the link
Just look inside
And you’ll know why

Remember you get what you give
Think this and live
You’re life will be
Loving, full,  free
